umkc student editorial
In "A terrible day met great leader," Justin Smith of the UMKC College Republicans uses both encomium and vituperation. Given his audience (UMKC), how persuasive do you think Smith's essay is? To answer this question, you'll have to decide what kind of audience UMKC is.

I would say that the AUDIENCE is: UMKC STUDENTS, the article is published in the UMKC mewspaper; DEMOCRATS, because he is providing evidences that Bush is a good leader and his choice of declaring a war, and going to the Asian countries to free them or hunt the terrorist, has brought good consequences; ANTI WAR democrats, because in the article he is trying to call for an abstract quality: patriotism and I got out of the article that almost everyone is a terrorist and is against the US because the Americans are free.
